Weekend trip to Estes Park, CO

First stop, Lyons for dinner. A group of people from town knit pieces to wrap around this tree.
Awesome restaurant next to the tree
go to sleep already! when can they get their own room??! Not much sleep happened that first night.
Estes Park is known for the plentiful elk. I have to say, this time of year they are pretty ugly. The elk are shedding their winter coat and getting a new darker one.

wow, what a change from the weekend traffic in SoCal!

 driving by the Stanley Hotel
the owl rocks
checking out the Nature Center by the Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park entrance
 view from our room
when we got back home yesterday we decided to take a little bike ride around the neighborhood. our first family ride!
